... the end of the penisula where there is a light-house. Must confess for the second time we have set off along the path and then turned back.
On the way back towards the town is the lovely tiny church of San Georgio. St.George is one of my favourite Saints. ... in the City Center relatively early by Italian standards at about 7:00. We asked the waiters who were still cleaning up the lunch tables what time the Restaurant opened for dinner and they told us 7:30. One of them asked if we wanted to make a reservation and although I did’t think we would need one at that early hour I said sure. ... was not just 1 Ferrari, this sound was from 21 Ferraris, all taking part in the Luxembourg Ferrari Club’s road-trip to Portofino. All 21 made their way slowly down the road to the center of town where they were directed into parking rows by the local police. ... although much larger than we were hoping for, was fantastic. Mary had spaghetti frutta di mare, with mussels, clams, squid and shrimp. I had spaghetti with some of the smallest and most tender clams I’ve ever had. We both loved our lunches.

... has been pinching me a lot since we have been here lol. We didn't want to leave Portofino, it has an ambience and a quiet sophistication about it, reminds me a lot of St Tropez but is not as pretentious as St Tropez, no big super yachts in the marina etc.

Time to head home to Fifi so off we went, traversing the winding coastal road and back on to the train heading for Sestri Levante.
