Portofino....the Raffetto's hood! Ognio is about 15 miles northeast of Portofino in the hills. We chose not to go there this trip...though it is Sunday and we might be able to go to mass, it would have cost quite a bit to attempt to get there and we were not sure about timing.

With a matchless laid back and serene ambiance with impeccable service that many hotels in its caliber replace with a stuffy and pretensions atmosphere.

The Hotel achieves a perfectly unique balance between elegance and decadence to create a truly refined and ...

... to Italy, I had been seeing painting after painting of Portofino, as it, like Tuscany and Venice, is one of the most painted towns on earth. So we purposely saved the best for last although we thoroughly enjoyed both Camogli and San Fruttuoso.

Getting out in Camogli, we took a tour around the town, photographing, eating gelato, and shopping, finding the numbered tiles Gobind had been looking for.

On to San Fruttuoso as the next stop, Gobind took ...
