    ... house. They were all beautiful but Gaudi’s beautiful stood out in that it just broke all standing social and cultural rules and stereotypes about what a building should look like. The rest of Barcelona seemed to be greatly influenced by Gaudi as well as I saw a lot of buildings in the Art Noveau style. I wonder why people don’t build buildings like that anymore.     ... My line took bout 15 minutes to get in, plus I bought a ticket to go up in the towers... very cool!! The view was incredible. The Basilica itself was incredible!!! See, it's another of Gaudi's creations, and this one act isn't finished, they expect it to be one around 2026, which I highly doubt, because they work very slowly there. Oh well, that how it goes. But, every part of the Sagrada Famila has some symbolism having to do with Jesus and the Holy Family... ...

    Yesterday morning we packed up and headed out for a day on the Mediterranean with the familia! Anyone that reads my other blog might remember me talking about "awe" filled moments.     ... play it again before we leave! Today Carlo and I are spending a relaxing day in Barcelona together. There is no agenda, no sightseeing, just walking the streets. We plan to stop when we like, go not stores that we want, and taste lots of food! After our second week of nanny-ing it will be nice to have some alone time!
