Few more laughs and then back to Tankersley Manor where we met up with Margaret and Robert for dinner. Weather is terrible cold and wet and forecasting snow for tomorrow . ... hotel at 9 to give ourselves plenty of time to get to Kings Cross and find out where we need to go. Carrying our luggage from the hotel to Pimlico station was a lot harder then I thought it would be. We finally made it to Pimlico and caught the tube to Kings Cross with plenty of time to spare, so we sat down to rest our legs at Pret and I had a coffee. We eventually found out which platform we had to catch the train from (unfortunately it wasn't platform 9 3/4) ...

... does have two rooms and the night porter manages to check us in, but not without a weird rigmarole that requires us presenting some form of ID and him copying it. Perhaps they don't trust people who show up at 10pm demanding rooms? Anyway, the porter manages to forget to give Stu his driving licence back, a fact he doesn't discover until we're far away the next day. But at least we have some beds for tonight and we're still well within striking distance of Scotland tomorrow. ...
