Agra and Jaipur - Rajasthan heats up

... we stopped in on our way to Jaipur. The Taj lives up to everything that has been said about it. It is truly a wonder of the world. The fact that we saw it in about 40 degree heat in the middle of the day certainly dampened our pleasure, but it was still worth it.  The drive in to Jaipur in the evening was a difficult one. Maybe it was the long day, maybe it was the guy who fought with Andy and tried to get into the car after Andy gave him 10 rupees for me taking a ...

Jaipur and India Impressions

... will grow more used to this over time, and people do say that this is far worse in touristy North India than in the South. We have had some lovely interactions with the locals, particularly at our accommodation, but it's hard to get this. Seeing the history is pretty amazing, but I imagine I will have seen my fill and more by the time we leave!

... to come out to lunch with the entire school. It was one of the sweetest and most akward situations of my life!! I sat down with the principal, his wife and his brother. For me, the highlites of this trip were the number of white tourists we saw and the biggest cannon in the world. To be honest, forts are not really my thing. They were very nice and impressive and old and I took lots of pictures. They are definitely ...
