... earlier that day that our bags were included in the ticketed fare. We were then told to walk back as far as we had come, to find the furthest possible gate for boarding. Then down some escalators, around a corner, along a corridor, through a tunnel.... you get the picture. Evidently, that is the standard situation with Air Canada. Reminded me a little of Tiger Airways a home. Oh, and if you want refreshments - that is at an additional cost. When we arrived at the gate, there ...

They were keen for me to see everything: the photos of the big snowfall this winter, the box in which their cats ashes were from it's cremation, a sausage of peperoni which they were sure we didn't have in Australia! ... overlooking all of the city. There was a glass floor which provided a lot of photo opportunities and laughter as we looked down to the ground. Toronto has the biggest mall in Canada - The Eaton Centre - which we walked through, getting envious of all the clothes we couldn't buy! On all the websites saying what to see in the city, Chinatown was always high up. So we walked eagerly up Simcoe Avenue to be greeted by a very disappointing scene. Walking back to the hostel we felt ...

This morning we woke up fairly rested and went down to the pool because the girls wanted to try out the water slide but to our dismay the water slide is only open when a lifeguard is on duty, which is after 4:30 :( We also found out that the breakfast was not complimentary so we decided to go out and grab something. However I did ask the front desk about our newly acquired AAA membership and got ...
