Great Niagara Falls Tour

I want to tell you about these great Niagara Falls tours that Chariots of Fire offers. Both Niagara Falls tour packages are reasonably priced, just $60 per person. The driver/ guides are great. They know alot about Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. (Their jokes can be a little ...

Algonquin to Toronto

... and a quick look at the main sights. Toronto is vast and sprawling compared with either Montreal or Ottawa, and it was good to have a knowledgeable chauffeur to spare our weary feet from having to walk the large distances between the main areas of note. We saw most of town, the highlights of which were probably the wonderful lakeside and parks and the expensive residential neighbourhoods of Bloor West Village and Oakville by the lake (and of ...

B.C. TRAVELBLOG September 2008

... I knew I could always count on James to give me the straight goods; he wouldn't accept anything less than the best we could do to go "on tape"; he knows also how important this project has become to me. I've been playing music and singing songs since I was a little kid; took lessons, taught myself, went to choir, did Carl Orff, played in the highschool band, went to music camp, studied composition at University, and of course, played in bands, or solo, in bars, auditoriums ...

Day 105 Toronto Canada

... we walked around a little more to return to Union Street station with the thousands of other commuters to catch a train home at 4:50pm. This was not a big deal and we found seats and the train left on time, we also found it was a fast train that took only 30 mins to return us to the station we had left from in the morning, at this time of day the trains apparently run every 3 to 5 mins up until around 5:30 then they slow to every 15 mins and stretch out to half an hour at around ...

The festival and the serendipitous after party...

... entire festival. Managing to make it to two out of three favourite shows ain't bad. I left the Rivoli to go to the Bovine Sex Club, a couple kms down the street. I ran into a guy with an anti-pickle shirt that I thought Mike would like, so I took a picture just for him. You better be reading this! The BSC was packed and I bounced around for a while to Clothes Make the Man, another band I had never seen, but really wanted to in the last few years. The drummer broke the ...

... drunk. After an afternoon snooze, we decided to hit a bit more of the Montreal nightlife. There was a great pub called Brutopia that brews 9 of it's own beers. We sampled a few of them whilst listening to a live band, then went onto an Irish bar called Hurleys. They also had live music, so we had some more drink and a big of a jig before heading back to the hotel. Time to pack up and move on, tomorrow brings Toronto.

Boring Bus Travel....

... incredibly tired - I was thinkin about getting a flight home from Ottawa or staying in Ottawa overnight - I think just about everything went through my head including "why the hell am I doing this" but once the aspirin kicked in and I could close my eyes and sleep without feeling sick I woke up feeling much better and more rational than previously and determined to actually make it to Montreal which is another 2 1/2 hr bus journey from Ottawa........

... flight to Entebbe. We get in at 9pm and the mysterious "Anna" is having a driver meet us and take us to hotels unknown. I will be so impressed if we pull this off without any confusion. Anyway, back to the pakcing. Just thought I'd say a final goodbye before I leave! Stay in touch!!! To all of you who DIDN"T send me your mailing addresses, please get on that and send them to my utoronto email, or you won't be getting ANY POST CARDS!!!! Cheers, Emily

Humber bay park

... to go in humber bay park but it is a nice area. You can discover a small river, nice houses in a quiet place, animal (savage ducks?).

Then, arriving at Humber bay park with its white bridge, nice beaches, cool path close to Ontaria Lake. This is a perfect place to do your footing, enjoy time with friends (for example it is possible to play the beach-volley), walk with family, children... anecdote : I saw funny "scuptures" made with stone probably by people walking there.

Goodbye love -- Hello frozen hell

... months travel in Latin America, Canada, my home, was a reverse culture shock. I'm not used to the Canadian efficiency and much preferred to the "mas o menos" lifestyle; the people, even though they spoke English, were not friendly; there was no soul, there was no fun, it was just like the Canadian ...
