      ... he ended up on a conference call with some cops dealing with it- it was a half hour before he was finished and it left a sour taste in his mouth for the rest of the day. Waterton National Park is part of the Crown of the Continent ecosystem; a place with unusually diverse physical, biological and cultural resources. From here we will continue to the foothills of the Canadian Rockies and overnight in Cranbrook, British Columbia"

We arrived in Fernie around 3 pm and took the opportunity to use the pool, the outdoor hot tub and take a long 2 hr walk around the Elk River and the town of Fernie.       Fernie - Helmet day for all

      A short update as we have not gone anywhere other than blasting down the mountain.

      We have all taken to having helmets following Doug's face plant yesterday. He is ok now, just a bruised ego and a distinct imprint of his goggles added to this is his pander eyes from wearing them – it is quite a sight.
