We took the opportunity to go on to the large shopping centre in Izmir

... thing that our guide pointed out to us was the remains of a meeting room that the men had used to hold important gatherings in the city. What was interesting was that instead of seats or chairs it was a room lined with toilet holes where men would spend the entire meeting sitting.
