... woman on her bike told us to get out quick, because if we were caught in an unregistered car up there, regardless of acting the dumb tourist we would get a hefty fine – one that we clearly wanted to avoid! So we drove back down the narrow road and parked in St Nicklaus! Yes Santa town!!

... in that part of town and found a great shop that had some very nice Swiss made items. (there are several souvenir stores around - all owned by Asians with Asian-made cowbells and stuff like that.) The woman in the store was delightful - the store was founded by her husband's grandparents in 1912! It's the oldest souvenir shop in the city.

... beer from the last 4 months. We took some of the greatest shots, watched the helicopters fly onto the peak and just hung out for the afternoon in the snow. It was so quiet and peaceful up there except for the Aisans complaining it was too cold, don't get me started!!!!! We took the train back into Interlaken and watched the sun set as we took the two and a half hour ride back down the mountain. We headed back to the hostel and took advantage of happy hour in the bar, played ...
... now!) and not far from the city and right beside the lake.
Next day we went up to Mt Pilatus and then Bryan and Fran who had traveleld across Russia met up with us. We swapped a few stories over the next couple of days as we enjoyed the town, the lake and the civilization!
