Overall Amsterdam is a beautiful city. You don’t need to have the sex, drugs and rock and roll to appreciate Holland’s underlying gifts. Amsterdam is going to change heavily over the next few years and I do wonder whether it will be for the better.

Since the Information Center (or VVV) was accross from the train station, I thought I would pickup a general bike map of the country. Everyone kept telling me I would need to buy a map for each region, because the one I wanted to buy wasn't detailed enough... but I wasn't ready to throw down $10 for each map, 20 in all, and not knowing where I was headed... so I was after the general map.
