Well we finally swam in the Mediterranean. The water is very clear, temperature was perfect, calm sea...no waves, but I needed my sandals to cope with the very pebbly shore! Did I know there wouldn't be much sand? We are spoilt! Yesterday we walked to the Chimaera...up a mountainside to where fire still burns from crevices in the rocks, it was recommended we visit at night to get the full effect. Thankfully we walked up in daylight and back in the early evening ...

After leaving Egirdir (where travellers are few and far between), we arrived in Antalya, a large modern city on the Mediterranean. ... then Old Town was nice or the much prettier northern (compared to southern) side of Old Town - we nearly booked a place on AirBnB on the southern side and are happy we didn't go through with that.

Leaving Antalya, we headed off via two minibuses to an (ex-?)hippy area called Olympos. There are lots of treehouses and backpacker haunts around this way. Our accommodation here is in a small cabin and includes breakfast ...

... like the outside of any old building, but once you entered you were presented with an amazing example of a 1000 year old theatre.

Our last stop on this tour was the Dunden waterfall - spectacular !
