... has been good, we have done everything we wanted to do, just in time to see the weather really warm up ( 10 deg ! ) and wind and rain come in. The grass in the fields is appearing, and bare rocks on the hills. Apparently the snow conditions are still good up on top at Areskutan, but down on the Duved slope, the snow is quickly turning to mush. ... I convince Jeff to head up the lifts on the side of Areskutan, we have left the tree line now, and for the first time the upper lifts are open. We keep pushing on, to be rewarded with getting caught in a snow squall, the wind playing havoc with our attempts to negotiate the trail over to the Gondola to the top. Struggling with hard, icy snow we finally arrive at the Gondola just to see it shut down because of the wind ! Boo ! We head back down to Rodkullan for a few runs in ...
