Left Orsa and set off up north. Travelled across country, dodging intermittent torrential rain, lunch at Svenstavik. Arrived at the site of a cave, after a 200 metre steep uphill climb. The brave of the group descended into the Hoverbergsgrotan cave, lit up with coloured lights. Around the hill then on to the lookout ...

We return our hired snow gear, and start our round of goodbyes to our new Swedish friends. Farewell dinner at ...

... I convince Jeff to head up the lifts on the side of Areskutan, we have left the tree line now, and for the first time the upper lifts are open. We keep pushing on, to be rewarded with getting caught in a snow squall, the wind playing havoc with our attempts to negotiate the trail over to the Gondola to the top. Struggling with hard, icy snow we finally arrive at the Gondola just to see it shut down because of the wind ! Boo ! We head back down to Rodkullan for a few runs in ...
