Da fährt man extra nach Nürnberg, um den größten Weihnachtsmarkt Deutschlands zu sehen - aber der öffnet erst morgen! Aus Trotz haben wir dann auf der Anreise in Fürth Halt gemacht und dort Bratwurstbrötchen, Glühwein und Fischwecken genossen. ... local people that were sitting near us, said that only about 5% of the people there would be tourists. We didn't leave til 10 pm. I can't remember what they played, but I thought of it as jazz. They played some Django Reinhardt. There was the calypso guy on the bongos in green & orange; a guy my age about on the squeeze box, then a guitar and a double bass and a violin.. There were two men filling me in on everything - both born in Nuremberg.

... A very comfortable room and welcoming hosts. Very little English. Made a cup of tea and sat on the balcony in the late afternoon air. We are in a small satellite town about 8 kms out of Bamberg in the rural countryside.
