There were quite a few hills, so we were pretty tired by the time we reached our campsite at Bruchsal, on the way to Heidleburg.. ... ruins for the better part of the day and even did some wine tasting down in the cellar of the castle. Later, we got lost in the shops and came out with about 6 pairs of shoes combined. Most of our free time was spent sitting in the cute little town square right outside of our hotel and drinking cocktails while watching people go by. We also took a liking to the spaetzel with schnitzel served at our hotel's restaurant. ...

We wanted to save travel time so we flew from Seville to Basel. We spent five months living in Switzerland four years ago and I felt nostalgic as we left Basel's airport. We needed to get to the train station and within minutes we were enjoying their efficient transit system. As we sat on the well-designed and spotlessly clean bus, admiring the beautiful city, Meredith talked about how she really wanted to stay in Switzerland ...
