... that things we had not remembered to pack. When I was young and our family left for a trip, my dad would circle the block until we remembered what to go back home to get. We were both awake by about 6:00 (very unusual for both of us since retiring) and were on the road by about 8:00. Since it is Labor Day, we anticipated extremely heavy traffic but were pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually very moderate.
... at a loss dear friends. All I know is that I have an itch to know and see more. I've learned to love so passionately and intensely this past year that I'm sure if I can't handle another goodbye right now. So for now, I'll bask in the bright sun and humid air and soak up all of the good people I'm around. This is not a good bye, but a see you later. I'll let you know if I decide to head out again. After moonshine, shooting and a proper cowboy dinner of fried Spam and beans, we retired to Glenn"s garage which like most garages in the UK has a pool table, a pin ball table, a Baja racer arcade game, 2 bedrooms, a bath and shower room and one of the most beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains known to man.

It's hard to believe that tomorrow I'll be boarding my first plane ever, leaving on my first international travel ever. I'm feeling nervous, but mostly super excited! This is going to be a truly life changing ...
