We weren't being cooked alive this morning which was a treat due to some excellent pine trees (I have no idea what trees they were really) covering our patch of tent until 8.30. So we had a 'lie in' and cologne or koln as the Germans call it was in sight a mere 19 miles to cologne before lunchtime was the plan. We found our way easily and followed the eurovelo 15 signs which we have been following all the way, ( probably should of metioned before now) not quite as good as ...
... is green and lush. Constantly you see vineyard's growing up the sides of hills and castles everywhere. For dinner we left the ship to travel to Namedy Castle. The castle is owned by a Princess and is opened to the APT group for viewing and dinner. During the evening a pianist from the Cologne university came and played. It was a great evening!

Because of the lovely Ryan Air, the only place we could fly into was Dusseldorf-Weeze airport...about 1 hour outside the actual city of Dusseldorf. Dusseldorf was not on my list of top cities to see after Berlin, but because of Ryan Air, what choice did we have? Dusseldorf ended up being awesome!
