Tonight we are staying outside of Aalborg. We travelled to Skagen which is located at the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula. It is a major shipping centre and fishing town. During the summer it is also a tourist town. Very quaint houses - likely many are vacation rentals. Then we headed back south to Aalborg where we will stay overnight before taking the ferry to Sweden tomorrow ...

... problem of completing our required cycling kms for the week in order to complete the Continent in time. Fortunately I came to my senses quickly, thinking how stupid was I putting completing a goal over a chance for some personal interaction. I'm so glad I didn’t let my goal orientated personality prevail, as we would have missed out on a very special time!

I absolutely adore Aalborg! It is not a tourist part of Denmark by any means but it is wonderful. The people are so lovely and friendly, it is very safe and clean, the night life is great, it is beautiful and the food!...... I don't think the food gets any better than it does in Denmark!

I have been here twice already but plan on going many more times and hope, one day to go on a more permanent basis :-)
