... It is well known for its sand sculpture festival, running from May to October each year. The theme for the sculptures this year was Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. As well as the impressive sand sculptures, there were timber and metal sculptures. Inside, they had a rock'n'roll museum, heavily focussed on Elvis. They had many items on display. ... behaviour and the prevalence of clean toilets, lovely people and beautiful countryside – with this in mind I saw red and picked up the offending litter and called her back, saying 'you just dropped this, you don’t just put litter in a hedge in this country’ and she sheepishly took it from me. We’d met them a few more times that summer and their names are Harry Franklin and his wife Siw (w as in ‘Victor’) Söderberg and their boat is called Ellen of Lysekil. ... sandwiches (smorrebrod) on rye bread. Particularly served with a seafood topping. I can eat those. It is also a big university town with 20% of residents being students. Today was obviously the start of a university break as a large truck of very loud students dressed as sailors, swigging beers and singing were riding around the streets.
