Bancos, …

... over the opening which turned your knees to jelly. After taking the requisite photos we headed to the bottom, then up the third highest building called Jingmao tower with new friends who we made in Guilin, Gillie and Alan. After a couple of bottles of prosecco and a very convivial time, we headed back to the hotel where we had a light snack and off to see an amazing acrobatic show. Tired though we were, we knew it would be good & we were not disappointed. Ending with ...

... me or has very bad eyesight. I was 28 that night. I'm not complaining, mind you. Al, on the other hand, was rolling her eyes. I was a very happy camper! The second week, we went to a Chinese cooking demonstration. It was just the two of us. Lola (the program coordinator) and Bevin (the head chef at the Marriott) walked us through making eggplant with spicy garlic sauce. I loved it! Alex, not ...

      The French and Art Deco

A travel blog entry by coylesisters on Jul 07, 2011

The French inspired city of china was reached by bullet train, reaching 250mph at it's fastest. It wasn't as amazing as I'd hoped but British rail could take note of the massive amount of leg room plus it's efficiency, and I quite liked the way it told you the outside temp too. So we can tell you when we arrived in shanghai it was 40.1 degrees!
