... down. The meal was really nice, the place was clean and it was cheap! We returned back to our room, caught up on emails, and the travelpod, we went on Skype to Melanie and Nikki, finally seeing them and Shani. I also realised finally my iPad had the VPN that I download before leaving Adelaide, which meant Facebook!!! And also Messenger too. Yay for technology. ... We attended a real news conference: it was for The 2nd Shanghai International High Tech Trade Fair. It was bit too professional for the little journalists, but we witnessed how the real journalists asked questions and how the whole journalism system works. ... 12 am that night because guide boat which was supposed to come and guide us down a river to Shanghai never came. It was 7AM at this point and still no guide boat! Well, we then decided to spend our first day in China sleeping, playing cards, and catching up on blog posts. We were delayed for 8 hours! Which means there was many missed flights, field labs with classes, and ...
... cool to see....and considering the quality of the field, there sure weren't many spectators there, so we were able to get really close to many of the golfers. From what I saw after the fact, I think there was 15 of the top 30 or 40 golfers in the world at the tournament. The first place prize was 2 million bucks, the richest in all of golf...but this was the inaugural event so it is nit ...
