Arossim Beach Cansaulim, Goa, India, 832-272-1234
Ok, so we went on the net and Doug found a bargain deal at a 5 star resort in Goa at Arossim Beach. It was the Park Hyatt and it was beautiful! The beach was clean, well... the sand was white and free from rubbish. However, the water was till a bit slick looking. But, we didn't need to swim in the sea here as we had India's largest pool to dive in. Oh yes, it was divine. It was a 3 split level pool and it was very BIG. The rooms were beautiful with a walk-in bath. There were loads of sports a...

... first thing in the morning we sat around and talked about what we wanted to do for the course. seemed like people wanted a little more structure than I did but that was fine. We praciticed for 3 hours and then went to lunch and talked some more. After that I went down to the beach and hung out with Jeff some more. We talked a little about Scotish history and pre-history. That was nice. He shot some pool. I shot the ...
Anjuna, Goa, India sneakytrees... that a number of us had been calling for. While we love Indian food, most of us still like to start the day with a traditional breakfast eg. Cereal, Toast, Tea/Coffee, Fruit. The breaky made a good start to the day and break on the road. A little later the driver pulled over the truck due to a mechanical issue. The Drago crew worked admirably to repair then faulty part and then to replace the ...
Honnovar, India ed.herweynen... if you've been transported thousands of miles from the sub-continent. The beautiful churches which still stand, such as the Bascilica of Bom Jesus, offer a fascinating glimpse of a city that once was larger and most important than London or Paris. If you are in Goa and decide to visit the towns (and you should) there's no shortage of buses ferrying between them and the various resorts. The two buses I took to get there and back set me back less than 20 cent. The transfer ...
Goa, India kealderra... but they keep saying - "you are like a white chicken!" which off course makes us want to buy from them! We buy a anklet (big mistake now they are all worse) and a pair of earrings before extracting ourselves and finding the right path to the beach. There are more stalls on the way to the beach, but these are bigger with clothes and hats and they don't pester you as much. We wonder down the beach and ...
Goa, India pashbee... like showing up in high-season to a high-traffic tourist place on a Friday night... All guest houses full. Oddly enough, I met a gal who was planning on staying in Panjim as well, and she had decided to head straight to one of the beaches now instead. I asked if I could hitch a ride. (Notes on a small world: this gal and her daughter were from Wallingford, Seattle, of all places - there are very few Americans here. Also, and this still blows my mind, on ...
Anjuna, India jtodhunterHello! so this is the first entry of the India/Nepal blog, how exciting!... I have to say it feels a bit funny to write without Andrew... Dum and Dumber are separated and the video are not the same: I have to video myself and all you can see is my nose... nevermind. Ok, so what have I been up to? I was on my plane from Mumbay to Goa and I met Doc. Johnatan, an australian acupunturist that lives in Goa. He convinced me to change my plans to go to North Goa for South Goa ...
Goa - Palolem, India andrew-n-giusi... about this place was an amazing Indian veggie restaurant that we found, which we ended up eating in daily!! In India though, the veg restaurants don't sell Beer!! Thats the only downside! We stayed here for a couple of days and then headed North again, to the town of Allepy,in Keralan backwaters. This is a lovely area, where you can explore the massive maze of canals and rivers ...
Goa - From Trivandrum, India loudan1979... people around so have been enjoying the calm after the insanity of the cities. Of the people I have been chatting with, it seems everyone of them has extended their stay here from a planned few days to at least a week, and some even up to a month! You can't really blame them either, with each hut costing no more than 3 pounds a night and a beer costing around 35p. We came here from Mumbai, which was a bit of a disappointment for ...
Palolem, India pmstables... paid for a single" "Yes you have a single bed in a double bunk. But for another 400 rupees (90% of the cost of a single) you can have your own double bunk." Ah sleeping next to a strange man. I passed and forked over the cash. The bus was full of other travelers with whom I quickly began swapping stories. There were 3 scheduled stops since the bus offered no food nor toilet. With the urge to use a toilet not resurfacing again I was dismayed to see ...
