        ... they did when they were alive, so I struggled to eat them. John kindly peeled the crevettes and prawns for me so that helped. He also helped me out with the squid and octopus – I find them a bit chewy! Aside from that, the risotto was lovely.         ... way tickets and had 20 minutes to wait. We'd not had lunch so ordered cheese and tomato Panini’s to take away from a restaurant. They were like pizza folded in half and warm. Wonderful and only €5 each! They were ready just after the ferry arrived and we had plenty of time to walk round and board. Sorrento's steep coastline was dotted with brightly coloured hotels.         ... up a conversation and were very glad we did. Helen and Ryan were from Yorkshire and were on their second trip to Italy. Close in age we found they had a lot in common with us and the conversation carried all throughout dinner. They were fans of the same American TV series that we watch and we learned all about proper Yorkshire pudding and Northern England. It was a very pleasant ending to what had been an exhausting day.

        Our final afternoon in Rome was spent out of the town centre at a beautiful village overlooking Lake Albano. This village contains the Popes summer residence and consequently has an amazing church. The village is very pretty with its expansive lakeside views.
