... boat driver has a pull chain attached to the rocks overhead that they use to pull the boat inside, they have to wait for the bottom of the swell as the top of the swell covered the opening, we only had about a 12 inch clearance at the bottom if the swell so I decided that if it was going to hit me in the face I didn't want to see it coming, so had my eyes shut on the way in. It only takes a few seconds and then you are inside the Grotto and for a few seconds it was so quiet, ...

... to go. It was very chilly and photographic evidence shows us all rather well rugged up. After a typical Italian lunch of pasta and calzone, we boarded our chariot back to Positano again which took us exactly 40 winks. Planning another dinner out tonight before heading to Amalfi and Ravello tomorrow. It's a tough life, but someone has to do it! Cheers PS. I hope at least someone spotted the deliberate misinformation above. (Just to make you think) ...

After era history filled day we headed back to the ship exhausted. Another magic dinner and continued stream of on board entertainment. Tomorrow is a sea day so a sleep in is possible.

... from the central city by the river Tiber. It's cobbled streets and narrow lanes have survived since the medieval period. Thanks to it being "beyond the Tiber", somewhat isolated and to the fact that it's population has been multicultural since the Ancient Roman period, this neighbourhood has maintained a strong local identity and a unique vibe. All day the coffee bars serve a rich brew along with croissants and fruit filled tarts, ivy ...

... very much. It wasn't nearly as crowded as Positano or Amalfi and was a really nice place to just stroll around in.

Our final stop was Amalfi. Amalfi is not a very large town but it is quite popular and busy. Here we visited the cathedral and strolled around. While the parents continued to explore the town, I headed down to the beach, took a little swim and relaxed while we waited for our driver to come get us.
