... late October. Tomorrow, we head to San Gimignano in the heart of Tuscany. Only an hour south of Florence, we will be spending the next week there as a base to explore the region and its bounty. Weather is predicted to be sunny and low 70s, we are truly blessed.

While Halloween is not celebrated here, for all those following us in the USA, Happy Halloween!

... should be interesting. In Europe, the big news is still the thousands of immigrants heading Europe but finding the pathways cut off. Many countries are building extensive fences to halt to flow. Largest immigration since World War II. Winter will be harsh for many here.

We enjoyed a nice seafood risotto Jerry prepared for dinner tonight. Tomorrow in the mid-seventies, time for some golf.

Day 57 - Tuscan Coast Cabin

... includes two small port towns of San Stefano and Ercole. Unlike the tight narrow roads of Amalfi, the roads are wide enough to do some touring.

We enjoyed a burgandy beef with gnocchi and some Tuscano red for dinner tonight. Simple but comforting. Comfort food for road weary travelers.

... to the one we got pulled over/pulled off the other day although this time there was no rain. We rode the high speed highway for 10 kms before I said to Kory I ain't doing this, it is madness, cars aren't expecting to see us on the road here and the side shoulder we were 'safely' cycling on was about to end. There was an exit ahead and we are taking it. Agreeing we beeline for the exit and make it off the ramp safe and sound. ...

... furry animal and had a hair ball caught in my throat all morning haha. This was free entertainment for Kory. Next we moved onto a strange looking fruit tree that I had thought would be oranges, they weren't. They resembled an apple and tomato and tasted like poo. They left me with another fuzzy tongue. After three strikes I will stick with simple meals for the rest of the day, sandwiches are always a safe bet. For lunch I did the grocery shop at our favourite ...
