    ... our elegant room and a bathroom big enough for ballroom dancing. I quickstep over to the shower and wash the grime of the day away.

    We are near the Trebbia where Hannibal had a major battle. Of the 34 or 37 elephants he set out with, many had already died from the cold and exhaustion and only one it is believed survived this battle. After a day like today, I can understand why.

    ... that Kevin was a farmer, not too sure how. Anyway she took a real liking to him and made sure he got the first taste test with the biggest pieces each time! It was really very funny and she was such a character it was hard not to enjoy the visit. Some of the group were very unhappy with this stop, and quite rude really. We thought it was the most authentic "farm" stop we'd had to date. After we all found out they make the ...
