... a huge fan of writing but I am going to attempt to write something here every week I am in Swaziland, as well as putting updates about my journey to get there. So far, I am still on the support raising stage so I will send updates as I hear about them.

We got a good night's sleep and headed out early to get the most out of Sedona that we could. First we stopped to pick up Laura's boyfriend's monstrous truck which he was nice enough to let us use. It was a stick which Laura did well with despite a few stalls throughout the journey. The only rule? "Do NOT wash it!"

His vehicle was a canvas and very inch of it was purposely covered with mud like brushstrokes on his beautiful work of art.

... I was up fairly early for a good breakfast cooked by Don—Biscuits and gravy-my favorite breakfast! They left for Portland to pick up their granddaughter Megan who will stay here a couple of days. She is leaving soon to teach school in Abu Dali, in one of the Arab countries! She claims there is no problem for Americans there. I hope she is right. I didn’t do anything much while they were gone- read, computer and such. We had a light dinner of ...

We stop for an impromptu tour of the immense Glen Canyon damn on the Colorado River. We are warned that we mustn’t say words like bomb or terrorists and take a lift 600 feet down to the base of the damn where 30 foot concrete walls hold back the water.
