... the old part of the city. We were really fortunate with the weather again - it didn't start raining until 5:00 pm and we were already on the bus back to our hotel. A few of the highlights - On Saturdays there is a market along the quay downtown. We bought some fresh bread, sauerkraut, and some pickles - 6 pickles that cost $12. Due to the fact we had no plans this morning we were in no hurry to leave the hotel. We finally decided to just drive around the area, and see the valley around us. ... even though the weather was fine. We immediately walked through snow to a point where we could get spectacular views of the area, although it was a little restricted by incoming cloud. Then it was to the Ice Flyer Chair lift, which carries groups of 5 seated alongside each other to a Glacier Games (Snow Park) area. This was quite spectacular and thrilling. ... It was an amazing experience but I was starving and the peak closed in 39 minutes so I had to descend. I was exhausted. Climbing more on the peak just took all my energy. I had to push myself and now (several hours later and currently lying in bed) is one of my favorite experiences on my trip! ... had a free afternoon which was spent in a Swiss cafe enjoying hot chocolate and walking across the oldest complete wooden bridge in Europe. We headed back to the hotel and got ready for dinner Dee pampered Mikhaila and got her hair and makeup done.
