    Tuesday the 1st of July, touch down in Zurich, the land of my origin. Did not have to wait long, to be in possession of my packed bike plus my belongings . Barbara, a friend was there to welcome me, she drove me to her home in Winterthur, where I was welcomed by her husband Mathias and their kids, Mat and Selina.     Some entrants passed out hot kaffe-schnapps (Kafi Luz). I had a couple to warm up and that hit real fast. Coffee & alcohol with a kick. Definitely warmed up but declined any more or I would not be able to walk (and I can usually hold hard liquor ok... hmm... )

    Entrants ran up to people (like us) and handed out candy, paper ads, fruit. The kid beside us raked in a good haul ...

    ... Jana, invited us to stay at their guesthouse but we had to decline. The workers at the celebration had on "Fahrni" shirts and I did my best to get one, I even offered a guy 20 Swiss Franks for his off his back, but we didn't get one:( They took our address though and said they'd be honored to send us a t-shirt but they didn't have any extras at the celebration. ...

    ... tent. We were told by locals that it was illegal to do it at a park. I scoped out a spot and at midnight we set up camp at a place that was a little less obvious than a park. It was near an overpass behind two tall buildings on an abandoned stretch of forest-y terrain the size of a typical backyard.
