... rather I was surprised how how uncomfortable the general aesthetics made me feel. I don't like to think of myself as superficial and judgemental, but it's clearly something I'll have to get over, as India will be even more wild and unkept in most parts. Fortunately we popped up in China town (typical!), from there we wandered the city and into a beautiful central market with antiques and beautiful little kitsch gifts; it was a shame we found the market so late because it had a lot of character and colour, every stall had its unique set up ...
Today we planned on going to the Bird Park who claim to have the 'world's largest walk in aviary'. I was never super excited for it, which ended up being good because I didn't get disappointed. To a city kid, it would have been amazing, but I've seen budgies and parrots before so It wasn't that special. We crossed 21 acres of slippery paths to see owls that weren't given dark spaces to sleep in and eagles who's cage was so small they could barely fly let alone ...
