We made a good effort to get up a bit earlier than usual this morning as the nearby town of Gaillac has a market in each Friday. Early for us mind you was 8:30am... The market was good for a small town. Consisting of fruit, veg, meats (fresh and cured), cakes/breads as well as a variety of ornaments, clothing and even mattresses and doonas! We bought a beautiful salad bowl and cheese board made from 200yr old olive wood. The grain and colour is incredible. The kids ...

A bastide is normally situated on top of a steep hill, with stone walls ...

... heated spa (which was already on) as well as huge TV's in most rooms. It even has a Dr Who pinball machine in the lounge!! Needless to say, I am writing this a day and a half after we arrived as we have been relaxing and soaking it all in. Have had the fire going since we arrived and admiring the rainy, misty chilly weather from the comfort of our cozy ...

Jumping on the plane an hour late I think everyone was exhausted. I took my sleeping pills which fortunately knocked me out for 9 hours!! I definitely slept for one of the longer times!! In Paris we spent a while finding our boarding passes but thankfully our bags were checked through to Toulouse. We went for a bit of a shop/ look around but all we ended up buying was our first real French meal (it was just a roll but they made ...
