A beautiful sight awaited when we awoke to find that we were moored off Cannes. So much better than Monte-Carlo. It is a very attractive town. We walked around the town and up to the Fort and the Church of St. Nicholas via lovely narrow winding paths with lots of shops and restaurants. There is also a lovely covered market selling fruit, vegetables, flowers and fish etc.displayed as only the French can do. We stop for the inevitable pit ...
After the show, I composed myself and found what I thought was the place I needed to go. It was a little beach bar called Baoli, but not the club which I had meant to be. I asked the bartender if this place got busy later and he corrected my mistake and told me where the Baoli Club is located. He said I should take a cab, but I explained that I was staying over there and had walked, so it should be fine.
It it was quite a jaunt, but I arrived ...
... and made for some uncomfortable sunbathing, however, the water was fresh and turquoise clear. Just swimming in the sea made Jermaine as happy as a pig in mud as he rejoiced at the feeling of salt residue in his hair after being almost a month without a surf or any form of contact with salt water.
After our brief frolic in the Mediterranean Sea we made our way back to the hostel where we saw Joe, a fellow Aussie traveller we met in Avignon, had a few beers and got a free pasta ...
... jasmine, woods, amber, and musks. I also got jasmine incense, half of an egg carton of soap (scents: magnolia, rose, honeysuckle, lavender, orange blossom, and jasmine), and a white flower scented candle. My rooms at home in MN (and myself) are going to smell so beautiful!
Overall, it was an amazing weekend of traveling. I am looking forward to many more in the upcoming weeks! I am loving how I can have mini-vacations almost every weekend! Adieu for now!

There is a babble of many languages at the hostel, and somehow the people don't seem friendly (staff aside). For example just staring blankly at me when I whack my head on a cabinet and make pained noises, or staring blankly at me as I try to get through a door with hands full of fruit. ...
