... and did not let go for anything or anybody! The view was awesome, we spent probably half an hour up there, it wasn't crowded at all probably because the top was closed and those who had stood in the lift line probably went up another level. I didn't expect it to move like it did, I would hate to think how much the top sways, maybe that's why it was closed, there wasn't a lot of wind at ground level but who knows what was happening higher up. The king bought the painting for 4,000 écus and kept it at Palace of Fontainebleau, where it remained ...

... settled for cafe au lait and lunch. My choice was chocolate crepes. Ha ha. We decided to take the metro to the Hotel du Ville which is just across the river from the Notre Dame. Easy peesy except Aidan's pass didn't work. Her skinny self managed to squeeze through the closed wicket. Good thing since I was already on the other side. We headed forth into the beautiful sunny day with a long walk along the Seine all the way to the Musee Orsay. We took a wee detour when ...

... left turns from the right hand side and somehow don't crash. I arrived at the tour start point quite early, so I killed some time walking around in the vicinity. The tour was going to be a long one, 3 hours, and the group was so big the tour company split us up into three more reasonably sized groups. Our group departed first and we headed towards Notre Dame. On the way, I happened to be walking next to a girl from our sub group on the outside that also appeared to be a solo ...
