... load up and head off towards our hotel. As we leave the lot we're a little concerned as Fanny, our trusty satnav unit, hasn't yet managed to pick up satellites so isn't giving us any directions, thankfully a few minutes later she finds a satellite so we programme her and off we go.
We find our hotel, The Sunburst Spa & Suites, in Culver City fairly easily, check-in and quickly hit the sack as by this time it's about 11pm and we are shattered!
... The tour goes for about an hour and is an interesting look at how movies get made. I find the back-lots which truly look like streets of New York, or Europe or even the Wild West, being completely deserted as they are, really eerie. Despite all the overpriced trash and hype we really enjoyed going to Hollywood, seeing the sign on the hill, and walking along the Walk of Fame. Strangely it feels run down compared to the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong, and in fact the city as a whole seems like it's in a state of decay.
