... The Brenner Pass and into Italy.
In actual fact, the weather wasn't to bad. It was still overcast. But you could make out the shape of some high mountains through the gloom. But the road conditions were good and we are able to open up the throttle.

An historical spot where during World War1, the Italian and Austrian soldiers were in hand to hand combat as they had run out of ammunition ....and we're thrown down the cliffs....We walked the narrow cliff path and through tunnels along the edge...quite emotional to say the least. Time would not ...
...and so to Milan, ...only an hour and a half from Heathrow!..Where we meet the smiley faces of Tom, Linda, Katia and John...our expert travel planners and guides ....all four of them ready and waiting with the 9 seater hired bus together with Hazel and Peter who leave for their own place in northern Italy to rejoin us in Greece! Lunch was at a popular tourist spot and coffee was always welcome and available on the way. The cows were still playing their music and happy for a pat. After another 7 hour day we had our first Hotel stay of the trek. This was Hotel Boe and of course was at the bottom of a long descent! It was a nice change to only have 2 in each room and our own ...
