By the time we picked up the rental car (miles from the airport-an exaggeration, but not by much), negotiated the traffic to Miami Beach checked in at the Redbury, our choice among what seems like at least a hundred boutique hotels in Miami Beach) and unpacked, it was time to think about lunch.

... and exciting place, and we enjoyed it way more than we thought we would. We settled on an Italian restaurant called Café Milano for dinner and were waited on by an excellent waiter called Santo. I recommend this restaurant highly. Between us we enjoyed gnocchi gorgonzola, veal ravioli and fettuccine alfredo. After dessert, Santo brought Gary and I limoncella drinks on the house.

We had an amazing catch up with friends and family on Skype today! It's so nice to be able to see people, don't know how people traveled back in the old days without technology! We also walked along the beach and found an Irish restaurant for dinner that looked nice (and cheap!) and they had happy hour (don't think anywhere in Miami doesn't have happy hour!) so we ordered food and drinks! It was really good but then the bill came ...
