We decided to explore more of Kashmir. Riyas or house boat man talked us into a trip to a lake about two hours away. When we got to this remote village to meet our boat I was amazed by the amount of children there. I guess they all came out to see the foreigners. It was quite overwhelming to have all these eyes starring at me and I not knowing what to do. Makes me wish I knew some magic tricks. When we got under way it was quite cool because the lake was essentially a ...

... English so conversation was limited. They liked having their pictures taken and wanted photos with us and were very relaxed. As soon as they heard their motor boat approaching they would scramble to get their hats, guns and stood by the railing looking important and alert. There is a heat wave and the temperature must have reached 40 degrees. Most unpleasant. The day passed slowly, but we were relaxed and needed the rest. That is until Javed connected ...

... who approached us to take a picture with them. That incident was so amusing. We must have stuck out like sore thumb in those gardens. We obliged and took a couple of pictures with them too. Not only in one garden but the next garden too. It was a different and fun experience for us. Before we got in to the car after our visit to the last garden we poped into one of the stores selling embroidery wares . Here we go shopping mad again. Would ...
