... I yelled out 'mamma mia’, much to David’s amusement sitting quite a distance away from me. Finally the door shut at which everyone on the bus let out a cheer :)

They're more infrequent because I'm no longer looking for them, but the new experiences keep coming. These past several days I've been on a sketchy group ride through the suburbs, chosen a go to cafe (called Chocolat in Settimo Milanese a few kms from our apartment), swam in an outdoor 50m pool, spoken Italian to new people, been to a few Milanese bike shops, eaten a great big slab of pizza from "Spontini" ...
