    ... I yelled out 'mamma mia’, much to David’s amusement sitting quite a distance away from me. Finally the door shut at which everyone on the bus let out a cheer :)

    Arrived at the car hire offices and of course everyone attempted to RUN off the bus to avoid waiting in a long queue. We resigned ourselves to the wait and David joined the line, hmmmm this was gonna take a while!

    Thank you for all your comments about the blog but we haven't quite finished yet! Still about 24 hours before we'll be on our doorsteps, a whole city still to explore and at least one more blog post!     They're more infrequent because I'm no longer looking for them, but the new experiences keep coming. These past several days I've been on a sketchy group ride through the suburbs, chosen a go to cafe (called Chocolat in Settimo Milanese a few kms from our apartment), swam in an outdoor 50m pool, spoken Italian to new people, been to a few Milanese bike shops, eaten a great big slab of pizza from "Spontini" ...
