Yay sleep in and another great day in Amalfi town. This place is one of my favorites. After a beautiful buffet Breaky we head out to take the open top bus and go to Ravallo for a look. We kicked off in Pompeii, it was a pretty hot day. So hot. Pompeii is much bigger than we thought and we snuck in on tours to hear info about the parts and history. After we had saw enough we jumped on a tour to Mt Vesuvius.. Oh my days! The bus was roasting, the tour went for longer than they quoted which didn't work for us. So mad! ... spent a day on the beach. 10 euro for sun lounge and umbrella. Their beaches are so different to ours. They are black and made up of volcanic rock. You have to wear your thongs down to the waters edge and then endure the pain of stepping on the rocks in the water - very painful. Had our last dinner at Caffe Positano overlooking the beach and water eating seafood and being serenaded by a lovely Italian singer. ...
... way home we stopped in Naples to get some of their famous pizza. We ended up getting a slice each and as we were short on time, we ended up eating it on the train. The pizza lived up to it’s name and was delicious, definitely different to the pizza in the rest of Italy.

... as well, otherwise apart from the sheer size of the site, it would be no different from the other Roman ruins we have seen.
Unfortunately the weather packed up at about 4pm but we weren’t done exploring so opted to get wet rather than miss what we came to see. Fortunately the downpour was short lived and we had enough time to dry off before getting back to the hostel.
