    ... cathedral date back to Norman times although both have been rebuilt. The
    cathedral has a beautifully painted ceiling. It would appear the town was
    attacked on numerous occasions by Turkish pirates who liked to massacre the
    townspeople. Its narrow steep streets make it very picturesque.
