Trento is a surprise package. A city of approx 120 000 based on education and finance this city is located on the river Adige, a major trading route with Europe in earlier time, and completely surrounded by snow covered mountains. Spectacular.
We left Colfosco on a near perfect day and as I think I mentioned we travelled north to almost the Austrian border and then south to Trento. ...
What a pleasant surprise package this was. We stayed at a beautiful guest house in Valle Felicita owned by two gorgeous young Italians with 2 kids. It was a home away from home and as such we decided to stay 4 days. We had intended travelling to Venice from here but John has been unwell with flu so we stayed put so he could rest. Very very happy, went into town to the Lidl store which ...

We did not ask to try this grappa and instead enjoyed a glass of fine grappa from a clean bottle at the bar ...
Today we were supposed to get up early and visit Trevisio. Instead we decided to sleep in and take it easy for the day. We went to Aunt Severina and Uncle Firmino's house for dinner. We dined with my aunt, uncle and cousin (Ivanno) for a couple of hours, and was lucky enough to catch a few minutes with my other cousin (Walter) before he left for the evening. The meal was a superb Italian home cooked dinner, while drinking plenty of homemade Prosecco.
