On to the Loire
... to head for the warmth of the tourist office and enjoy the spectacle of people and cars navigating white footpaths and roadways from there.
Finally I had to leave to try to make it to the Orange shop, and prepare for my renevous with my host, Julie but my phone still wasn't sending text messages and the the his at Orange didn't know why but luckily I was able to get a call through to her and left a message explaining that I would be running a little late - my battery ...
One of the best days of the week.
We started off by exploring the chateau. It was COLD! But so beautiful. We meandered along the Loire through several towns, stopping to get bread and snacks.
And by early afternoon, we arrived at Les Rairies to meet our friends and park up for two nights.
A proper shower and loo! Does this become an obsession with all motorhomers?

... And also you might be able to tell from my post yest, that Le Mans was just starting to feel like a smelly trap (just another day in Le Mans la de la...etc etc). Ooh yes, I wil have to post some pics of when I went away last weekend, cos I passed through Lille, and we went to Paris, and also I stayed in Amiens. So lots of nice areas were visited! Lille is stunning:) But then so are most places in certain places!! ...
Final assault - spring rolls and design terror!
... crossed on top, then the obligatory chervil leaves - only pretty ones, then shock, horror, RANDOM drops of yogurt! Didnt think Sid did random!
Served and eaten with appreciative mutterings, spring rolls next - we all decided it was too much to have 4 each (getting cocky now!) and then smoked fillet of beef, parsley pesto (yuck!) and boulangerie potatoes - had bearnaise sauce and peppercorn - didnt need both in my (humble) opinion. Steak was on lush ...

Finally got WIFI today - so very behind with blog!

chicken liver and foie gras parfait was absolutely gorgeous
off to farm to watch butter, cheese making this pm - men wimped out of tasting most things
Back for dinner prep - could NOT get the parfait shaped using 2 spoons - mine looked like a dog ****!
Wont be making those again! will def make the parfait though
