... walked back into the village and had a lovely afternoon wandering around the tiny streets and piazzas. We bought a couple of small souvenirs and then headed back to the car by about 5pm and drove the 20 minutes back to the campsite. As soon as we got back to the caravan the kids jumped in the pool to cool off - again. Dinner was stir fry chicken on the Cadac much to the envy of many of the neighbours! So plan C worked out well and we still have Plan A and B to do another day. ...

So after our journey here on Saturday we arrived at Camping Fontanelle. The site is on the west side of Lake Garda about 10km South of Salo at Mo**** Del Garda. This site is bigger and busier than the others we have been at, but it faces straight onto the Lake and also has a pool so the kids are chuffed. When we checked in we were a little concerned at how small our pitch might be but we needn't have worried we somehow ended up with a huge pitch albeit quite sloped! Our ...

I think he gave up and just entered anything to get us to go. He probably blamed the stupid English whilst we blamed the fact that the only reason the ...

... of peaks which we knew had a glacier on it. To get to it you drive across a dam which in itself was amazing. Once on the other side the kids shouted 'look it's a yoghurt pot lift!'. For those of you who skied in Les Arcs you will know exactly what that means, basically you stand up in a small cage which is only big enough for two and which is hanging from the cable. Fine for a short distance - but this one was massively long and ...

... gush, what on earth was that?? That was our awning corner pole collapsing under the weight of water from the roof! We all scrambled outside to support the rest of the awning and check out the damage. Fortunately no damage was done and we re-erected it in 5 mins, but we did spend the rest of the evening panicking that it was going to happen again. The worst part about the whole evening was that we had to postpone the pancakes!! ...
