... 160;Then I stopped for gas.  I was the only car in a station full of pick-ups.  Here is where I experienced my first hootin' and hollerin' from what I imagine are some upstanding young gentlemen in a very large truck.  When I described my first Louisiana experiences to Mom, she replied, "Honey, You be in the south".   I traversed most of Louisiana before some back-of-the-Prius camping at a boat launch in the middle ...

One week from today I will walk out of the office, start running around like crazy because I just remembered things I still need to get done and then start packing. Saturday I'll check and recheck my list of things I want to make sure I take....camera, phone charger, tablet, plenty of underwear, sunscreen, sunglasses.....then feel horrible because it will be time to drop Cartman off for boarding. Then it will be early ...

Made it to our campsite in Louisiana.

... three hour drive into New Orleans so we should be there by noon. Our campsite is very nice. Has water and electrical outlets right next to the picnic table and even has a shower in the bathroom. I'm a little confused about how Louisiana handles the finances of their parks because we had to drive on a dirt road to get to the park but when we got here the bathrooms were air conditioned. I'm not complaining though because with the humidity I will take any air conditioning I can ...
