Arrived at Las Palmas at 10am and it was beautifully warm. We set off through the city to the lovely long beach area. There was a wide promenade are and we walked a couple of km along it and the beach. Had a cup of tea and cake watching the surfers at the break at the end of the beach near the theatre. I got ready for the day because we were headed down the coast to another seaside town. Our route rap showed some beautiful rolling hills along the coast then a climb to head back down. We started out and I was feeling a little better. Once we started some climbing a few miles in a had to stop because I felt so thirsty. Once I drank ...

... of how the sand dunes were formed. It was such a peaceful way to end the day. Back at the hotel we enjoyed a special Christmas eve dinner prepared for us. We enjoyed salmon appetizer, lobster soup, cod for me, duck for martin and delicious gingerbread and ice cream. We shared dinner and wine with Roy and Billie. They own a home in Lake Toxaway NC in the area near Highlands. It was a lovely ...
