          ... Pantokrator. It has very decorative blind arches and another chimney-ish dome, as well as a frieze of swastikas. These are always startling to see but they are symbols of good and light; Hitler perverted the symbol to one of evil and darkness. Christ Pantokrator is also used as an art gallery.

          Had a good sleep in and got up about 11am. Walked to the bus station to sort out our ride to Istanbul in a couple of days. Didn't have any dramas with this.           Caught the 10.30am train from Sofia to Varna. We had heard the trains could be really old and ****** and there could be thefts but when we got on it was fine. It was the first time we were in actual 8 seat cabins. A friendly lady in our cabin spoke really good English which was reassuring. Arrived in Sofia about 6pm and walked to the hostel.           ... In the night it's Lev25 for 3 hours. It's a great way to spend the sunny day at the beach. My arms were in pain for 3 days after my session! This place was a great distraction, and I befriend a group of friendly locals who take me under their wings and let me hang out for the day and into the night at their local watering hole. I'm thankful for these friendly Bulgarians who made me feel normal again and helped me to wash away my pain.
