... I can tell you. We saw the thermometer measuring the outside temperature hitting 44 degrees and the tyre warning beeping in the cabin. We decided to head for Sukhothai, which used to be the capital and is a historic city, find a hotel, at a reasonable cost, and bunk down for a good night sleep with the air conditioner.

... We said hi back and kept walking. I turned to Tomi and said "That was weird". About 10 minutes later I understood why they had acted the way they had. There were absolutely no other foreigners in town, no roman script anywhere (all the signs were in Thai, nothing in English) and virtually everything had closed bar the food stalls and the 7-Eleven store. ... Before we knew it Lucas had a couple of kids in his lap and a few more had squeezed in close enough to reach their tiny hands in to the spread. So, we sat and ate with our friends until it was all gone. After rounding up a few escapees and taking them back to their homes for bath time we snuck back to our own homes. I have a feeling we are going to need a nice Thai massage when we leave this place, but I think it is going to be the hardest goodbye ...
