Check out and the flight out of Dallas was uneventful apart from massive queues at the airport. Good short AA flight to Leon, main airport for State of Guanajuato. Leon is the commercial centre for the state witha population of over 2 million. Taxi from Leon to Guanajuato was about 45 minutes with limited commentary by the cabbie. We have been staying with Mario's parents and brother, Geraldo since Saturday in Salvatierra. Mario's mother has been cooking some wonderful food for us every day. Fresh salsas with beans and chorizo or free range beef that is so lean it looks like veal, Mexican hot chocolate, atolè and many other great dishes. This is big agricultural land around here, with lots of corn, sorghum, fresh garbanzos, peanuts, guavas and more. The Lopez family still has several small plots ...
