The drive to Acapulco took us just under 10 hours to finally arrive at our destination. We used a federal road until we reached Toluca where we took a toll road, now the reason I am mentioning toll and federal roads is because depending on which you use will depend on the problems you run into! The federal road was lovely, winding up and down the mountains with some amazing views. We even got stopped by a friendly police officer who was conducting road side stops for ...

Acapulco, Mexico

We had decided to head to Acapulco (Mexico's original party town) as someone had told us it was a must place to visit for the famous cliff divers there. Problem was when it came to organising how to get there we couldn't remember who had told us to go and everyone we spoke to had neither visited there or heard about it. Bugs Bunny was always trying to get there, but took a wrong turn in Tujunga, and ended up in Istanbul or Acaba. Where was I? Oh yeah...Acapulco used to be big time. Now, it's an over-priced, played-out scene, that ...

Sailing down the Mexico Coast

A travel blog entry by cazzah on Apr 18, 2014

Today we spent the day sailing down the coast of Mexico. From our map, we are off the coast of Acapulco. No port stops today as we are heading to Guatamala, which takes two nights and two days sailing to arrive. The waters are very calm and the sailing very smooth. We are both very relaxed and Johnny is enjoying the variety of foods on board.
