    We biked up to Altea old town to see the church with blue tiled roof. Beautiful from the outside but not so good inside. The surrounding streets were full of artisan shops and a few small cafe's with excellent coffee. Bikes down again and along the front for lunch but found ...

    ... entertainment" afterwards. We've met a marvelous singer, Sarah Jane Morris who performed for us along with another guest Annette Brown who is a musician, she plays the trumpet. They did several songs, very nice. And Lars was convinced to do his special version of the Swedish Chef. Annette even made a chef's hat for him. It was a fun evening.

    It has been a great week for recharging the batteries, relaxing and filling our tummies with really healthy food.

    In summer I suspect the area in which I am staying will be heaving with holiday makers but at the moment most of the holiday villas and flats that stretch for miles along the beach are empty and borded up. They are surrounded by wasteland and and abandoned building plots and I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to move here. When I return to the motorhome after another boring walk up and down the beach, ...

    ... hooked). They were correct in saying you adapt to the site, it doesn't bother me any more, though I wish I didn't have to stay here for two weeks. The only place to walk the dog is the beach, so every morning I slog up the beach for about 45 minutes, then turn round and follow my tracks back to the Site. In the afternoon I slog down the beach for 45 minutes, turn round and slog back. It is boring in the extreme. The beach is fairly straight, no bays ...
