We arrived at Cabo de Gata around 2 pm which has beautiful beaches with clear water but full of sea urchins, on top of that we got hassled by aggressive flies and sandblasted as there was a special wind called the Poniente for a couple of days. ... once at the top Cerro Negro, the views to Agua Amarga and beyond are stunning and worth the excessive perspiration. You can tell we are reaching the end of the National Park as in the distance are the white swathes of green houses along with the tall chimney of a cement factory.

We moved up the coast to a campsite at Los Escullos. There isn't anything at Los Escullos except the campsite, a restaurant and an old Fort. The campsite is about a kilometre from the beach so we headed there later in the afternoon for a spot of sunbathing.
