... enough to tick the box: `went to a nuddist beach´. . . I´m not mental . . and I do not care how much I care.

When we returned Tracy gave us some bad news about our cycling to come. Firstly, there was a heat wave due (last year it hit 57 degrees in land), there is a windy season, and we were about to cross the siera nevada (a massive mountain range). Apparently Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe. This along side the fact that I had ...
Vera, Andalusia, Spain chris_jones01... asking to use there computer in an estate agent (they politely refused) and buying a peach in a supermarket just so we could ask the cashier who ended up drawing us a map on the back of a receipt.

After an amazing meal was cooked for us we drank beers and exchanged travelling stories with Tracy (who had backbacked for 8 years). Then off to bed. . . . in an actual bed. normal = good
Vera, Andalusia, Spain chris_jones01... cycling yet. We were supposed to nail 100 miles to make it to Tracy's but after a full day of effort we only managed 75. Anyway, during this epic uphill struggle we encountered a petrol station in the middle of no where. Here they had a hose pipe where we could riskily fill our water bottles. It was at this point i decided to add the quote of the day section.

Whilst Alex was ...
Águilas, Murcia, Spain chris_jones01... The prices are very reasonable. The most fantastic village was Mojacar. It is a white village up in the mountains and winds down into the sea. Each town has its own square and on weekends they have activities going on all the time. Please bring your own sun blocker. Even though in Spain it is labeled SP 30 it doesnt do anything and we ended up with sunburns. All in all it was worth it and we saw the Spain ...
Palomares,Vera, Garrucha, MoJacar, Andalusia, Spain must_travelI had to wean myseft away from the area, and the next day just drove a bit up the coast, past more un(der)-developed beaches at Escullos and El Playazo, and ended up staying in Las Negras, another fishing village which is sleepy by the water-front but with massive construction going on behind it.
Las Negras, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands travellerbruceReturned to San Jose. Next day drove around to the town of Cabo de Gata, saw the salt-pans, went up the the "Cape", saw the incredible beach of Cabo de Gata, had great lunch there, then went around to the beach at Monsul. Eventually decided I HAD to leave!!
San Jose, Burgundy, Spain travellerbruce... of Arabia). It's supposed to be the driest area of Europe, and is quite desert-like which is why they chose it as a cheaper location for cowboy films. But it's not as spectacular as the Copper Canyon which we visited in Mexico last year. I visited one of the "Wild West towns" and saw a shoot-em-up show there. Very expensive and not really worth the drive...The next day I went around to the town of Cabo de Gata, and beyond it ...
San Jose, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands travellerbrucemet carlos who took me a few miles down the coast to Roquetas del Mar. Really beautiful corner of Spain - fantastic beaches, top notch and dirt cheap food and a minimal amount of tourists. was great to catch up with carlos and reminisce over a famous summer at the EXPO in German 8 years ago. And you certainly don´t go hungry (or thirsty ...

Almeria, Spain onsixwheelsMy host family is amazing. I love them. I have no idea what they're saying but they're sweet. My host mom is full of energy and my dad is a really sweet man. I have two siblings that live in the house, a 21 yr old bro (he's a good-looking Spaniard, yes), and a 26 yr old sister. They are both REALLY nice but I haven't talked to my brother much at all. The first night I was there, I told my host mom I did not eat meat (beef or fish) so she found my loophole ...
