We have moved campsites today, about 10 kms up the road to Las Negras. The campsite is practically on the beach. The price and size of the pitches reflect this. High price – small pitches.
Today we rest and tomorrow we finish walking this stretch of the coastline.

Another circular walk today, up the coast to La Isleta del Moro, a fishing village that still maintains traditional fishing methods. It was inland to the town of Rodalquilar. Up until 1966, gold was mined here and we walked up past the now derelict gold mine. The walk took us through a large mining area evident by the occasional derelict buildings and tunnels going into the rock with signs warning of the danger of entering the mine.

... and sticky with sun cream - this is why I don’t do beach holidays!!. The sea was very cold so I only managed a quick paddle. We persevered for about an hour and then headed back to the campsite for a shower and a cup of tea…..
