    ... eat up the miles. The only problem was that after a fantastic fast stretch, you have to pay the price with 20km or so of rubbish bouncy old road when you cross into another province which has not bothered to claim it's EU subsidy for road repairs! There is virtually no traffic and one wonders at times why the roads were built - it seems like we were the only people using them. Fantastic!     A transition from the heat and humidity of Barcelona, to more heat and humidity in Valencia! It felt so good to get the rental car and turn on the air conditioner! Ahhhh. Only ~ 86, but the humidity made it almost unbearable for these two desert dwellers.
