Our main reason for heading to Athens was to get to the Islands, and we were really looking forward to getting some sun and lots of swimming in. Finally the vacation begins, it is hot and beautiful in Greece! July 27, 2008 A very early start to the morning. I had to be at the ferry port at 6:30 am.     We stayed in a beach shack, it was bare with two beds and concret floor but was fine for the beach atmosphere.
