We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.

I knew from the Bari Incident and the resulting re-booking efforts that there was a ferry leaving Piraeus for Naxos at 17:30. I looked at a passing sign. Αθήνα, 150 km. Little did I forget we were not yet done with the traveling because we had another four hours until we finally arrived back home in Florence. Being as though we were starving from not eating since the night before, we got McDonald's which made my ...

Today was really tough. For three days now, I've shoveled poop, fixed fences, raked the ring, washed buckets and helmets, but had little to do with the actual horses. Today, all of a sudden, I was quickly taught to tack up the horses, to lead them, to make figures with them in the ring while the kids have lessons, and more. It was so much information all at once, and I was expected to know it after seeing it once. ...
